Travel

There was this moment where I was drinking coffee at 8am, alone, on an empty street in Amsterdam thinking about the first time I visited Europe when I was freshly 13; it felt like my life had changed. I skipped around Europe for three weeks, catching glimpses of the Eiffel Tower, looking out over the Swiss Alps, eating cheese and chocolate for every meal. On that empty street in Amsterdam, all I could think about was how excited 13 year old me would be if she could’ve seen into the future and saw that. That’s always the feeling I’m looking for.
